arrow_backTil oversigten26. januar 2024 | OASE Outdoors / Outwell Telte
Two new drive-away vehicle awnings and a versatile canopy add even more choice to the highly acclaimed Outwell Active Collection. Developed to address the demand from adventurous campervan owners for low weight, small pack size, performance vehicle awnings, it is also now part of Outwell Caring Choice products.
Outwell recognises that action needs to be taken now to protect our world for future generations. Caring Choice is just one step on the road the Scandinavian brand navigates towards its sustainability goals... It is a journey of many avenues and one Outwell works hard to address while recognizing the miles yet to cover.
Caring Choice provides products developed to reduce impact on the environment by using recycled materials and sustainable manufacturing techniques. All models in the Active Collection use recycled Outtex 3000 Select CARE polyester as the main fabric in its flysheets and aluminium poles anodised without the use of nitric and phosphoric acids.
The Collection also addresses the needs of campers using vans, people carriers and small SUVs as an economical, versatile way to access a myriad of outdoor activities. This sees growing camping communities based around vehicles like the Tesla. The latest additions are the ideal match to this lifestyle trend that includes micro adventures, overnight stays, day trips and more…
Valuable living space and tailgate access protection allow campers to use the vehicle rear as a simple bedroom or kitchen without having to invest in a full spec campervan for a snatched break. The ability to quickly erect private space in which to change, work, relax and shelter during day events enhances appeal.
Campers enjoy excellent weather protection from the Outtex 3000 Select CARE polyester fabric, enhanced by alloy poles, storm web tapes and the Outwell Wind Stabiliser System that provides a correctly secured awning stability in up to Force 10 storms. Guyline retainers and a choice of methods to secure against the vehicle while allowing unhindered access, highlight Outwell features developed by a team that understands life outdoors. Large mesh windows with waterproof curtains help circulate air to reduce condensation in relevant models.
Joining existing models are:
Dunecrest L
The Dunecrest L fits VW T5/T6.T6.1 (Multivan, Caravelle, Transporter, California), MB W639/W447 (V-Class, Vito, Marco Polo) or similar and builds on the popular Sandcrest models and Dunecrest S launched last year, to offer a drive-away version that’s fast and easy to attach and detach for freedom to travel from your base. Outdoor kitchen, dining room, changing room and more… the Dunecrest L provides rear living space with detachable groundsheet thanks to ingenious connection to the rear wheels and rear passenger grab handles. This Vehicle Attachment System keeps vehicle side doors clear of obstruction from guylines while allowing the tailgate or barn door to be used or locked shut with the awning in situ. Large mesh windows with waterproof curtain, located in the front door and sides, provide enhanced ventilation while protecting from rain. The door can also be used as a sun canopy using optional king poles. Other options include footprint and carpet.
Seacrest
The Seacrest drive-away awning brings extra space to a new generation of vehicles with sloping roofs, easily attaching to a VW New Multivan, ID Buzz or similar using an Outwell Link Access Zone to provide side doors opening onto an area where wet clothes and muddy boots can be left before entering the living space. The Link Access Zone features a detachable groundsheet with draught excluder panel. Suction cups are provided for use on profiled aluminium roofs. The Seacrest features tinted front windows and large mesh side panels with zip-close waterproof curtains to enhance ventilation. The main door can be rolled to one side for panoramic views and improved airflow. The addition of the HookTrack System in the living area allows lights and small items to be conveniently suspended where needed and a removable bathtub-style groundsheet protects the living area. Underfoot comfort and protection can be enhanced by using an optional carpet while two sizes of free-standing inner can be purchased to use as an additional bedroom or storage.
Forecrest Canopy
The Forecrest Canopy simply and easily adds side shade, shelter and privacy − perfect for lunch breaks or stopovers that do not warrant the use of a full awning. Suction cups make it easy to mount to SUVs, MPVs and more.
