Never has comfort and convenience been so accessible for the latest generation of car campers. The new duvets and special self-inflating mats from the Scandinavian family camping specialist, Outwell, may be the choice of many enjoying outdoor life from a tent or campervan, but they are also perfect when using cars, SUVs and light vans as a base for micro-adventures and more.

Campion and Canella Duvets join the popular Constellation Duvets, expanding choice of material, size and insulation options for tailored comfort. All have great appeal if you love the feel and freedom of movement found in home bedding.

Both new duvets share Constellation features that include soft, brushed shell fabric, face baffle and a handy inside pocket for small essentials. The Canella Single and Double Duvets are part of the new Outwell Caring Choice range that here highlights the use of a luxurious recycled polyester insulation, while the Campion Single and Double provide duvet options to the ever-popular sleeping bag collection for those who prefer a more ‘open’ style of sleep comfort.

The three TOG 12 rated Constellation Duvets also get updated to Caring Choice materials and continue to be popular for tent, motorhome and caravan use.

Perfect home bedding includes a comfortable mattress – and camping is no different. The superlative Outwell Dreamboat self-inflating mat (SIM) range gets updated to Caring Choice status due to the use of recycled top and base fabric, while two new models provide a tailored fit for an increased number of vehicles.

The Dreamboat Campervan Wide has been designed for vehicles like the VW California Beach, Multivan and similar, with corner cutaways allowing the SIM to fit around wheel arches. The growing number of drivers camping from vehicles like Tesla Y, Skoda Enyaq and similar will love the new Dreamboat Campercar. Its goblet shape with an extended narrower ‘tail’ profile converts boot space and dropped seats into a comfortable bed.

Both these new PFC-free SIMs share unique Dreamboat 3D design features that include extra-large foam cavities for increased comfort, enhanced inflation/deflation speeds and the ability to regulate temperature depending on season; tough stretch outer fabric with soft-on-skin technology; static side fabric for extra stability and easier inflation/deflation; delamination-proof TPU construction; and Outwell Double Flat High-Flow valves for increased air flow.

Campervan bed comfort can also benefit from the new Dreamcatcher Campervan 5.0cm. This latest SIM is designed to fit van conversion beds that often suffer from irregular dips that form when seat cushions are used to create a mattress. Simply inflate to have uniform support over the entire bed, with a corner cut out ensuring this isn’t interrupted by any wheel arch.

The Campervan version shares the same features as time-proven models enjoyed by tent campers. These include: PFC-free; wave-shaped foam with horizontal channels to reduce weight and packed size while enhancing insulation and comfort; Outwell Double Flat High-Flow valves for increased air flow; and a carrybag for transportation.
